Location: Leeds/hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Salary: £40,000-£60,000 + uncapped commission (OTE £80k-£120k)
Working in partnership with fast-growing IT consultancy at the forefront of digital transformation we are recruiting for an experienced Business Development Executive.

The role
As a Business Development Executive, you'll play a key role in driving new business and growing strategic accounts. You'll identify opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and articulate how services solve business challenges across data, AI, and software engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively generate and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, and referrals.
- Lead consultative sales conversations to understand client needs and position tailored solutions.
- Work closely with delivery teams to scope and price solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to signed contract.
- Build and nurture a strong sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Represent the company at events, meetups, and conferences when required.
What we re looking for
- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally within technology consulting, data services, or enterprise software.
- Proven ability to identify, qualify, and close mid- to large-scale deals.
- A consultative, client-first approach with a solid understanding of solution-based selling.
- Familiarity with technology (data analytics, cloud services, machine learning, software development etc).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Desirable
- Experience selling to the public sector or regulated industries.
