This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and people-focused leader who enjoys building meaningful relationships, identifying new opportunities and turning ambition into commercial success. You will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, strengthening revenue streams and supporting Speedy's continued growth across the UK.

This is a national role and you will be supported with either a monthly cash car allowance or a company car, enabling you to travel and engage directly with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

What you'll be doing:

  • Identifying new markets, sectors and customer opportunities to diversify and strengthen revenue streams
  • Building, managing and nurturing senior-level relationships with key customers and strategic partners
  • Owning the full sales pipeline from opportunity identification through to contract execution
  • Leading negotiations and securing high-value contracts and long-term partnerships
  • Setting growth targets and monitoring performance against agreed objectives
  • Working closely with Finance and senior leadership teams to forecast revenue and assess profitability
  • Conducting market and competitor analysis to anticipate trends and guide strategic decision-making
  • Staying ahead of industry developments and positioning Speedy competitively in the marketplace
  • Supporting innovation and new commercial initiatives that enhance our customer offering
  • Contributing to wider business projects and strategic initiatives as required

What we're looking for:

  • Proven senior-level experience in business development, sales leadership or strategic partnerships
  • A strong track record of winning and managing large, complex and high-value client accounts
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and commercial decision-making skills
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and evolving customer needs
  • Confident leadership capability with experience of developing and motivating teams
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands on, results-driven approach

What we offer:

  • Monthly cash car allowance or company car
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Health cover
  • Life assurance
  • Pension scheme
  • 26 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Free onsite parking
  • Canteen facilities
  • 95% discount across the Speedy brand
  • My Staff Shop - discounts and offers for shopping across a wide range of suppliers
  • Green Commute Initiative - cycle to work scheme
  • PAM Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - free and confidential support and counselling for wellbeing, legal, financial and personal matters

Speedy also operates an industry-leading Work Life Balance initiative, demonstrating our commitment to reducing core contracted hours, supporting colleague wellbeing and creating more balanced working patterns. This is a key part of our ambition to put our People First. We welcome conversations around hybrid and flexible working arrangements, including flexible start and finish times, shorter days, term time hours and job share opportunities.
