About the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Advisor to join a growing and dynamic team. This Business Development Advisor role is ideal for a motivated and results driven individual with experience in telesales or business development who is looking to build a long term career.
As a Business Development Advisor, you will play a key role in driving new business opportunities through proactive outreach and targeted campaigns. The Business Development Advisor will be responsible for identifying potential clients, generating leads, and supporting the wider sales and marketing strategy. This Business Development Advisor position requires strong communication skills, a professional approach, and the ability to build rapport quickly with prospective clients.
Working closely with internal teams, the Business Development Advisor will manage leads through the CRM system, support marketing initiatives, and contribute to ongoing business growth. The successful Business Development Advisor will be confident in handling both outbound and inbound enquiries while maintaining a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
Key responsibilities- Proactively contact prospective clients via telephone and email to promote services and generate leads
- Build strong relationships with potential clients and understand their business needs
- Conduct market research to identify new sectors, opportunities, and target clients
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to support business development strategies
- Manage and update all lead activity within the CRM system accurately and efficiently
- Qualify and progress new business opportunities in collaboration with the sales team
- Handle inbound enquiries and assess suitability for potential business opportunities
- Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns and lead nurturing activities
- Maintain professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders at all times
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to business growth strategies
- Previous experience in a business development, telesales, or similar role
- Strong telephone skills with a proven ability to generate leads
- Experience using CRM systems to manage and track sales activity
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong research and analytical abilities
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
