You will be working in the Technology & Sustainability Enabling Function where we harness digital transformation and innovation to meet ambitious climate goals and deliver sustainable solutions for our customers.
We are currently looking for a Business Architect, who will be accountable for designing and evolving assigned business capabilities - defining how they operate today, what they need to become, and how change initiatives should be shaped to deliver that evolution. This role holds design authority for assigned capability domains. It is a standing, domain-facing role: the Architect owns something that persists over time, not just a task or project. Where a Business Analyst focuses on a specific change initiative, the Business Architect focuses on the long-term integrity and direction of a capability - ensuring every change moves it in the right direction.
As the Business Architect, you will:- Define and maintain the current and target state for assigned capability domains, expressed as capability blueprints, operating model views and value stream designs.
- Act as the named Design Authority for assigned capability domains: providing architectural review and sign-off on change proposals that affect those domains.
- Translate strategy and Business Plan priorities into clear capability evolution plans for assigned domains.
- Provide architectural input to business cases and change proposals at the point of definition - not as a retrospective review.
- Work across process, data and technology stakeholders to ensure designs are coherent - not just within a domain, but across adjacent capabilities and value streams.
- Facilitate design workshops and architectural sessions with senior stakeholders and Capability Leads.
- Experience in business architecture, operating model design, strategy or enterprise transformation roles
- Experience defining capabilities, value streams and high-level process architecture (L1-L3)
- Experience working across process, data, technology and people to design joined-up change
- Experience acting in a design authority or architectural review capacity
- Experience working with senior leaders on strategic and operational decision-making
- 24/7 digital GP service for you and your family
- Financial wellbeing and employee assistance
- Enhanced family benefits (including maternity, paternity, dependants and parental bereavement leave)
