Fraudulent recruiters have been using social media platforms to dupe potential job seekers into divulging personal and financial information.

Sophisticated frauds, involving grooming of targeted individuals, show the fake recruiter asking the unsuspecting job seeker to take part in a fake job interview, either over the phone or via WhatsApp, and also sending fraudulent follow-up correspondence offering job positions.

Any communication about jobs at Oxford University Hospitals will come from 'Trac', or via an ouh.nhs.uk email address.

All meetings and interviews will be scheduled on Microsoft Teams from a verified OUH email account.

Job overview

We are seeking an experienced individual with talent, expertise, and ambition in business analysis. We can offer the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that will transform scientific research and healthcare delivery in the NHS.

The successful candidate will work as part of the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH). They will contribute to the design and implementation of systems for data acquisition, integration, and analysis across a wide range of clinical systems and settings for this important national programme.

The insights and analyses they deliver will have a significant impact on the delivery of this programme. Working with academic and NHS colleagues across the Thames Valley and Surrey region, the post holder will have the satisfaction of seeing results of their analysis in use: improving patient care and supporting cutting-edge research.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will review, interpret, investigate and analyse the business and clinical data systems that Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and other NHS trusts in the TVS SDE region use to satisfy data requirements to support and develop business and research. The post holder will work closely with data managers, clinicians, software engineers, IT professionals and other stakeholders across the TVS SDE NHS trusts to identify issues and build solutions to enable improvement of data collection, management, and workflows.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is an exciting time to be joining the OUH R&D Clinical Informatics team as we build up our existing team to deliver the TVS SDE programme. You will join a team of experienced and enthusiastic engineers, analysts, programme managers and subject matter experts within the team, and a wide network of peers within the network of SDEs around the country. You will have the opportunity to work with experts in the field, expand your knowledge through on the job and formal learning opportunities and share your knowledge across the network.

Person specification Qualifications
  • Educated to Undergraduate level (or equivalent qualification / experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of NHS terminology and information requirements
  • Business/systems analysis training, either formal or on the job
Experience
  • Highly organised, with the ability to work to agreed goals, in a self-directed and professional manner
  • Ability to lead analysis activities in specific areas, including collaborative working across organisations
  • Ability to work on parallel tasks to a high standard
