Are you passionate about helping businesses grow? You will support Nottinghamshire's small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to enhance their performance, innovate, and create jobs. You will provide tailored advice, conduct business diagnostics, and connect businesses with essential funding and specialist support. This role focuses on sectors like manufacturing, engineering, and technology, helping businesses navigate funding options and overcome growth barriers.

This position is part of our broader economic growth and digital connectivity service, collaborating with local authorities and partners to shape future business support.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing one-to-one advice to businesses, helping them identify opportunities for growth.
  • Conducting business diagnostics to assess performance and develop action plans.
  • Connecting businesses to specialist support and funding opportunities.
  • Supporting businesses in manufacturing, engineering, and technology sectors.
  • Gathering business intelligence to inform future support initiatives.
  • Collaborating with local authorities and partners to enhance business support services.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in business, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business advisory roles or similar positions.
  • Strong understanding of funding mechanisms and business growth strategies.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and technology to support businesses.
