Business Administration Apprentice (GWE) - Pfizer

Location: Pfizer Ltd, Discovery Park House, Ramsgate Road, Sandwich, Kent, CT13 9NJ.

Position type: Apprentice (18 months, starting 1'st September 2026).

Salary: £16,890 per annum; Pension: Employee 5%, Employer 3%.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5.25pm; Friday, 9am - 4.05pm. Lunch break 12pm - 12.45pm.

Job Description Overview

Support the Global Workplace Experience (GWE) Global Business Performance Team with administrative, purchase-to-pay and financial management tasks across GWE sites in the European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Purpose of the Role

Provide practical administrative and operational support while undertaking a structured apprenticeship, building expertise in procurement, finance, stakeholder communication and process improvement to contribute to budget management and operational services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support purchase request and requisition processes, ensuring information is complete, accurate and compliant.
  • Raise purchase requisitions in ARIBA and track purchase orders, invoices and approvals to closure.
  • Assist with vendor maintenance, supplier queries, invoice holds and payment issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and support governance, audit and Pfizer policy requirements.
  • Collaborate with GWE colleagues, Procurement, Finance, suppliers and site teams to resolve queries.
  • Use purchasing and invoice data to identify issues, trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide wider team administration support including meetings, actions, travel, expenses, reporting and ad hoc projects.
Scope of Apprenticeship

Daily support to the Global Business Performance Team, developing confidence in managing purchase request, requisition, vendor maintenance and invoice payment processes while working with internal and external partners.
