About the role

Are you looking to start your career in business administration within a busy, customer-focused environment? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Business Administration Apprentice to join our Resident Hub, supporting services that put our residents first and making a real difference to the lives of Hillingdon residents.

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, a quick learner, and passionate about supporting their local community, while developing strong administrative and communication skills as part of a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Resident Hub teams
  • Respond to customer enquiries professionally and elevate issues where appropriate
  • Manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment
  • Maintain accurate records and update IT systems
  • Support document management, data input and resident queries
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet service deadlines
  • Follow council procedures, service standards and confidentiality requirements
What We Are Looking For
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Essential Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grade A -C / 9-4) including Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Willingness to work towards a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship
  • An interest in developing a career in business administration
  • Commitment to confidentiality and council values
  • Flexibility to meet service demands when required
  • Must not already hold an equivalent or higher qualification in Business Administration
