Post: Part-time Bursar 24 hours per week (52 weeks per year).

This is an exciting opportunity to join our successful Christian School staff team, where staff feel supported and valued, and where pupils achieve excellent results. The King's School has operated for over 40 years providing high quality Early Years, Primary and Secondary education. Currently the roll is 209 pupils.

Initially working alongside our current post-holder, we are looking for an experienced finance professional who demonstrates the confidence to take on the day-to-day financial management for the school. The successful candidate will preferably have experience of using cloud-based financial software, MS Office Excel, and be familiar with budgeting and forecasting, and preparation of management accounts. Ideally the successful candidate should have previous experience in a school environment but this is not essential.

The role will involve interactions with staff, parents, governing bodies and suppliers, therefore good interpersonal skills are essential.

This is a year-round position, initially offered at 24 hours per week. The role is expected to increase to 32 hours per week by September 2026. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements regarding days and hours; however, some availability during school holidays is essential.
