A BIM MEP Specialist (Building Information Modeler for MEP disciplines) is responsible for creating, managing, and implementing digital models and processes of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems within an EPC environment in the Oil and Gas sector.

BIM Specialist leverage specialized software tools, to design, coordinate, and communicate critical project information across all stakeholders.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

The position calls for working as Building System BIM Modeler (BIM MEP Specialist) in Tecnimont projects, with responsibilities of following duties:

BIM model creation and management: develop, manage, and update MEP models within a BIM platform in compliance with company and client standards guidelines and best practices, including relevant codes, regulations, and project specifications related to BIM.

2D Layout: Preparing and checking ducting, piping, E&I layouts, P&ID, air flow diagrams, equipment layouts, etc.

Data Management: Organize and manage BIM Data, including managing information about materials, components and construction details.

Quality Check: Check the quality and accuracy of MEP models by performing regular checks and testing between different models.

Team Coordination and Support: Collaborate with MEP Engineer / Specialist to integrate MEP systems into the other discipline design, resolving any conflicts. Provide support to the subcontractors for the practical implementation of BIM standards.

Qualification:

Degree or diploma in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field with training in technical and industrial design.

Previous experience using BIM software, cloud-based platform for construction management and other relevant tools, such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk BIM360/ACC, Navisworks, AutoCAD 2D, etc.

He/she should be well versed with also REVIT families creation and managing and Dynamo scripting.

In-depth knowledge of MEP systems for BIM modelling purposes (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical & instrumentation, fire & gas system, telecom, electrical & instrumentation system for HVAC).

Experience:

The candidates shall have minimum 2-3 years' experience as BIM MEP Specialist (MEP modeler) in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing 3D modelling for industrial projects.

Certifications in BIM related disciplines can be advantageous (e.g., Autodesk Revit MEP Certification).
