Cultura Connect is searching for an experienced and motivated Poultry Farm Manager to take charge of a well-maintained broiler unit in the North West of England.



In this hands on role, you will oversee all aspects of daily farm operations, ensuring the flock's health and productivity while upholding the highest standards of biosecurity and animal welfare.

Role Responsibilities

  • To oversee the daily farm operations, monitoring and managing the health and welfare of the flock and feeding routines to optimise production

  • To conduct daily monitoring of the flock, including walking, weighing, and assessing bird health, while liaising with veterinarians and technical advisors as needed

  • To ensure compliance with industry regulations, biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards

  • To liaise with hatcheries, feed suppliers, processors and other service providers to support a smooth operation

  • To maintain accurate and detailed records of flock health and production metrics



Skills you will need

  • Previous experience in poultry farming

  • An NVQ 2 and/or 3 in poultry production

  • A knowledge and understanding of poultry production

  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills

  • A strong eye for detail and cleanliness

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A collaborative team player, able to work independently when required

  • A willingness to put in extra hours when required to ensure the job is completed to the highest standards

  • Adaptable and driven, physically fit able to meet the needs of a busy operation

  • Experience with telehandler and tractors
