Job Description

We're proud of the work we do, and we're now looking for a Children and Young People Domestic Abuse Practitioner in the Bradford RESET team. The role is 22.5 hours per week over 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and will be based in the district-wide, trauma informed service led by The Bridge Project.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing targeted, developmentally appropriate support for adolescents aged 11-17 affected by domestic abuse.
  • Working within a whole family framework, collaborating with Family Workers, safeguarding teams and other multi agency professionals to create safety plans and recovery support.
  • Building authentic relationships with young people, amplifying their voices, and shaping support that recognises them as victim survivors.
  • Delivering services safely under a safeguarding led framework, while maintaining flexibility and needs led practice.
  • Participating in team meetings, multi agency case conferences and contributing to continuous improvement of the RESET programme.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Extensive experience working with children and young people in domestic abuse contexts.
  • Exceptional relationship building and engagement skills, with the ability to inspire trust with youth.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and professional judgement in a team and multi agency setting.
  • Passion for amplifying young people's voices and driving change in domestic abuse support services.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (mandatory).
  • Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).
