Breakfast Supervisor

The Malone has just rebranded and has undergone an extensive refurbishment of the bar, restaurant, and wider hotel. We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Breakfast Supervisor to join our growing team at an extremely exciting time! We are a locally owned, boutique four-star hotel where your personality and originality will have a chance to shine!

As Breakfast Supervisor, you are fundamental to setting a positive tone for our guests' day. Your genuine warmth and dedication to ensuring a delightful breakfast experience are at the heart of this role. You will play a crucial part in preparing and presenting our breakfast offerings with care and efficiency, reflecting our commitment to excellent service and guest satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, over a 7-day working week. This will include 2 x 7-hour shifts and 2 x 6-hour shifts as follows: 06.00 am- 2.00 pm and 07.00 am- 2.00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a truly warm welcome to guests, making them feel valued and at ease from the moment they arrive. This embodies our people-first commitment, setting a positive tone for their day.

  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the breakfast area, reflecting our integrity and commitment to a pleasant dining environment.

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless breakfast service, highlighting our value of partnership in achieving shared goals.

  • Assist in the seamless setup and efficient closedown of the Restaurant, contributing to a well-organised and inviting dining environment.

  • Ensure that the preparation and presentation of each section is of an exceptionally high standard, consistently aligning with the meticulous standards set, demonstrating your commitment to quality.

  • Be highly mindful of waste, always seeking assistance to utilise all stock effectively and minimise wastage, reflecting responsible resource management.

  • Report any faults or defects promptly as you observe them, contributing to the swift resolution of issues and maintaining operational integrity

  • Follow and thoroughly understand all cooking and allergen guidelines, as set out in food hygiene and food allergens training, ensuring the safety and trust of our guests.

  • Ensure hotel standards are rigorously followed at all times

Required Criteria
  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or food and beverage service.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.

  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible, including availability for early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Ability to handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
