Job Description

This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Belfast's mostanticipatedboutique hotel openings.

Opening early 2026, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will be a prestigious boutique hotel set within the iconic Scottish Mutual Building in the heart of the city. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Role Responsibilities

As Breakfast Supervisor, you will support the Food & Beverage management team to ensure quality service and standards during breakfast service. The key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Daily supervision of breakfast service, ensuring both standards and guest expectations are maintained.
  • Supervising the breakfast staffing requirements, planning and assigning tasks, whilst establishing performance and development goals for your team members.
  • To work closely with the kitchen team in the preparation of breakfast buffet items, planning ahead to support ordering and stock control.
  • To empower the team to be able to handle all guest feedback, provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback.
  • Be part of the team with a visible presence on the floor throughout service times to ensure the standards are met.
  • To be a welcoming host to our guests. anticipating guest needs whenever possible and reacting to these to enhance guest satisfaction, ensuring all guests expectations are exceeded.
  • Deliver effective training and development for your team ensuring all employees are inducted and trained according to Company standards.
  • Ensure all procedures & day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines e.g. Health & Safety, Food Handling & Hygiene Legislation etc.
  • To support in the control of costs through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, par stock levels, purchase order systems and minimising wastage as per Company standards.
  • Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager.
Key Requirements
  • Previous Food & Beverage supervisory experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills
  • Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Flexibility - to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
