Exeter High School in SAU 16 seeks outstanding applicants for the position of Sub Varsity Boys Soccer (Freshman/JV) Coach at Exeter High School.

Responsibilities

To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach must also model socially acceptable behaviors, fostering self discipline, confidence, and pride in student athletes. Continuous professional development through coaching clinics, observations, and consultations is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to organize and supervise a soccer program.
• Previous successful coaching experience preferred.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, with ongoing study of new theories and procedures.
• Capability to serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of all athletics policies of Exeter High School.
• Knowledge of NFHS and NHIAA regulations.
• Understanding of the proper administrative chain of command and use of appropriate channels for requests or grievances; attendance at required meetings.

Administrative Duties

• Assist the athletic director in scheduling, transportation, and requirements for tournaments and special sport events.
• Help prepare for scheduled sport events or practices and adhere to facility times.

Student Responsibilities

• Mentor each athlete, promoting trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
• Pay attention to each athlete's grades and conduct.
• Provide assistance, guidance, and safeguards during practices, games, and travel.

Reports to: The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in conjunction with the high school principal.
