This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a close-knit team, managing a varied client portfolio and delivering high-quality bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting support.This role will suit a Bookkeeper with strong practice or industry experience who enjoys working directly with clients, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.As Qualified Bookkeeper, you will:

• Manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and management accounting services.
• Prepare accurate trial balances to support year-end accounts.
• Provide clients with clear, actionable advice.
• Support and mentor junior team members as they develop their skills.
• Assist with client onboarding and ensure smooth transitions.
• Deliver support both from the office and occasionally on client sites.
• Handle payroll requirements, including PAYE, pensions, and CIS where applicable.
• Contribute to process improvement and the continued growth of the practice.

The successful Qualified Bookkeeper will have:

• A recognised bookkeeping qualification (ICB, AAT, or equivalent).
• Around 5+ years' experience within an accountancy practice or relevant industry role.
• Confidence using cloud accounting software (such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Comfortable working on-site with clients and attending local networking events
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• A proactive, organised, and reliable approach to work.
• An interest in supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.
