Job Overview - MET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim)

VRS Bodyshop, a BSI Kitemark approved vehicle repair centre, is seeking a skilled and dedicated MET Technician to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a professional, high-standard environment where precision, quality, and teamwork are valued. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise and be confident in using both hand and power tools. Your role will be vital in ensuring the safe and efficient repair of vehicles, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, electrical, and trim inspections and repairs to vehicles.
Carry out fault diagnostics and resolve issues with accuracy and efficiency.
Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components in line with repair methods.
Assist in the dismantling and reassembly of vehicles to facilitate repair work.
Work closely with panel beaters, painters, and estimators to ensure workflow continuity.
Keep clear and accurate records of work completed and parts used.
Adhere to all health, safety, and quality guidelines within the workshop.

Skills & Requirements

Proven experience as an MET Technician or similar mechanical role.
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
Proficiency with a range of hand and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Full UK driving licence (preferred).
