Boarding Matron / Houseparent (Part-time)

The Royal School, Armagh is seeking to appoint a part-time Boarding Matron / Houseparent to join its boarding team from September 2026 (or earlier if available).

This residential role is central to the pastoral care, welfare and day to day support of boarding pupils, providing an adult presence outside the academic timetable. Working as part of a team, the Matron supports pupils' physical, emotional and social wellbeing, oversees housekeeping routines, and provides first line medical care where required.

Applicants should be caring, approachable and well organised, with a genuine commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people in a boarding school environment. The role includes overnight duties, term time working, and free accommodation and meals during duty hours. Previous experience in residential care, education, or a medical setting is desirable but not essential.
