Appointment of Board Members (x3) to the Board of the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority (NIFHA)

The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) is seeking to appoint three Members to the Board of the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority (NIFHA). NIFHA is an Executive Non-Departmental Public Body sponsored by DAERA. It has a statutory responsibility for the improvement, management and maintenance of the three fishery harbours at Ardglass, Kilkeel and Portavogie. Time Commitment and Remuneration: The Member role requires approximately 16 -18 days per annum and is remunerated at £5,847 per annum (under review).

Terms of Appointment: It is anticipated that successful candidates will be appointed to a four-year term from 1 January 2027.

The following criteria will be tested at application and interview:

• Corporate Governance and Accountability
• Collaboration and Partnership
• Relevant experience in one of the following areas: Asset; or Estate, or Facilities Management;

Health and Safety or Marine Safety; Fisheries or Maritime sectors; Project or Programme Management; Financial Planning and Management or Corporate Planning or Strategic Management.
