Job Description
If you are a proven BMS Project Manager with excellent communication skills and experience of managing, designing, engineering small to medium sized BMS projects, we have a new role we would like to discuss with you. Please note this role is hybrid and will require onsite attendance at end customer locations as well as the office.
What You'll Do- Project engineering and management of small to medium-sized projects, handling single or multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and internal teams.
- Design, engineer, and commission building management systems (BMS), where time allows, including the development of tailored control solutions.
- Manage and enforce all health and safety requirements, including conducting site audits.
- Coordinate with administrative staff to plan work for workforce requirements.
- Maintain financial oversight and control of projects.
- Supervise subcontractors when necessary.
- Undertake standard BMS engineering tasks when project workload is lower.
- Conduct site surveys to support quotations and system design.
- Experienced BMS engineer with solid technical expertise in at least one major BMS platform (Trendor Schneider Struxure Ware systems preferred but also Siemens, Tridium or Distech).
- Industry experience within building controls and a good understanding of mechanical plant systems.
- Prior work in high-security or critical infrastructure environments (e.g. data centres) is advantageous.
- Capable of designing control strategies and carrying out engineering and commissioning of BMS systems.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostics skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues methodically.
- Excellent communicator, able to convey technical concepts to non-specialist stakeholders.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organised and able to perform well under pressure.
- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance to project sites in the region.
- Holds a valid driving licence.
- Competent in using standard office and engineering software.
- Possesses a valid site safety certification or equivalent.
