hemotune AG is a Swiss medical device start-up company originating from ETH Zurich. Our mission is to develop and scale a versatile magnetic nanoparticle platform that captures what matters most for every application. To support our R&D team, we are looking for a Biomedical R&D Scientist Intern.
Biomedical R&D Scientist Intern (f/m/d, 6 months, 100%)
We offer the unique opportunity to be a part of a dynamic award-winning start-up team and to develop a novel nanobead purification approach. You will have the chance to get hands-on lab experience with nanomaterials and to apply your knowledge accumulated during your studies. Additionally, you will gain a deeper insight into the medical device industry. Your responsibilities:
Develop target removal protocols and test their efficiency by using ELISA, UV/Vis and FACS
Characterize and measure nanoparticle performance
Perform conjugation reactions to functionalize magnetic nanoparticles
Track, document and report the project progress and present at internal meetings
Requirements
. Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
Experience working in a laboratory environment
Familiar with biological and/or chemical lab techniques. Experience with nanomaterials is a plus
Excited to work in a start-up environment
Proficient in English, German is a plus
Intended start date of internship: 1. July 2026
