BIM Engineer

IDRecruitment are working with a mechanical engineering contracting company torecruit a BIM Engineer.

Therole is based in Ballinrobe, Mayo and reporting to the Operations Manager. Thesuccessful candidate will support the BIM process, delivering 3D and 2Ddeliverables, production of 2D co-ordination, installation drawings and 3Delements needed for design and co-ordination. Site visits may be required aspart of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Produce BIM model programs/ MasterInformation Delivery Plans (MIDPs) for project in line and in advance of theconstruction program
• Track all agreed design changes to ensurethey are being inputted and coordinated in 3D models
• Attend project/site meetings and keepwell informed of all construction activities
• Check models in line with upcomingactivities to anticipate and foresee any on-site issues
• Raises issues for resolution withrelevant site person
• Project specialist in the BIM 360software platform (Field, Glue, Docs and Navisworks), troubleshooting,training site staff and setting up guidelines for use
• Ensure all staff are trained in and useiPads for creating issues, checklists, equipment, daily updates and reporting
• Produce Mechanical 3D models as requiredusing Revit, AutoCAD and Civils 3D software
• Manage the collation and input of assetinformation models for handover at project completion
• Laser site scanning and using pointclouds to verify works completed
• Updating and administrating of allco-ordination documents registers and drawings
• Assist with tenders and other drawingrequirements from the business
• Attend co-ordination meetings and developcommunication skills

Requirements:

• 3rdlevel qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineeringor Strong trades background coupled with a BIM qualification
  
• Beproficient in BIM modelling packages including Revit, AutoPlant, AutoCAD 2Dand 3D
  
• Aminimum of 2+ years' experience within a BIM function
  
• Mechanicalbackground and have a proven track record in a similar role
  
• Strongcommunication and organizational skills
  
• Abilityto work under pressure and to short deadlines
