The Bilingual Internal Auditor role is at Higher Executive Officer level, which is a middle management position in the Civil Service. An Internal Auditor will be expected to play an important role in reviewing internal controls within the Department to help the Department to improve its operations.

Main Duties of the Job

Successful candidates must, on or before 23rd July 2026, be a qualified member of the Institute of Internal Auditors or have full membership or eligibility for full membership (i.e. final exams have been passed) of a prescribed accountancy body supervised by the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA) and have at least one year's auditing experience (post qualification) including knowledge and experience of the Global Internal Auditing Standards.
