Bid Manager - Building Contractor

We are assisting an award-winning, innovative building services contractor for the recruitment of a Bid Manager. Operating across UK & Ireland this is a new role in their growing Bid and Marketing team.

The successful applicant will have strong bid writing capabilities and be responsible for managing bids across a range of installation and maintenance projects.

The job role will include:

• Managing the entire bid cycle from review to submission, and through to mobilisation
• Writing content for public and private sector bids, ensuring they comply with the specification
• Writing effective, concise and compelling content under strict deadlines
• Reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary, working with other bid team members and internal Subject Matter Experts to gather evidence and craft compelling responses
• Ensuring all bid submissions are in line with the specification and instructions
• Preparing content for bid presentations
• Maintaining and continually improving the company's bid library, including case studies, team member CVs, etc. in conjunction with marketing colleagues
• Supporting other bid team members to give them confidence to write and produce materials themselves

Essential Criteria

• Experience in public sector bid management
• Experience in public sector bid writing
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
• Excellent personal organisation, honesty, communication, ownership, reliability and dependability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to create meaningful reciprocal relationships with both colleagues and clients
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to demonstrate good team ethos
• Full driving licence
• IT literate, e.g., proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel or similar
