We are leveraging innovations from beyond the space sector to make our antennas smaller, lighter and cheaper than traditional designs.

This is an exciting time to join us as we scale up for the future, having already delivered multiple systems for operational satellites with in-orbit deployment success, and significant investment in our facilities with a state-of-the-art head office at Harwell and a bespoke manufacturing facility in Abingdon.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Bid and Sales Manager to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end bid process for high-value contracts, translating complex technical inputs into clear, compelling, and commercially robust proposals. Your contribution will directly influence the company's growth trajectory by helping us win exciting new business in the fast-evolving space sector. Alongside bid leadership, you will also have the opportunity to manage direct relationships with select key clients.

You will work closely with internal teams to define winning bid strategies and ensure timely, high-quality submissions. This includes managing bid documentation, maintaining opportunity records, and overseeing the smooth transition of successful bids to delivery teams.You will also support Quality and compliance with our ISO 9001 certified systems as well as looking for improvements to refine our Business Development processes.

On the commercial side, you'll drive pricing approvals and ensure proposals align with strategy and manage risk effectively. You'll also maintain and enhance our bid content library, keeping templates and guidance materials accurate and accessible.

To be successful in the role you will likely hold a degree in Engineering, Business, or Science (Bachelor's or Master's) or equivalent, and bring strong commercial awareness, analytical skills, and a keen ability to convert technical detail into persuasive, audience-appropriate content. Excellent written communication, numeracy, and an aptitude for managing complex information are essential. You should be comfortable presenting in person, on screen, or in written form, and be highly adaptable in fast-paced environments.
