Behaviour Support Practitioner

We're working with a specialist SEMH academy in the North East and are looking for passionate, resilient individuals to join their team on a long term basis.
This is a full time, Monday to Friday role supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. You'll be working in a classroom setting, providing both learning support and emotional and wellbeing support to young people who can present with challenging behaviour.
The role includes:- General classroom support
- Supporting pupils' emotional regulation and wellbeing
- Building positive, trusting relationships
- Managing and de escalating challenging behaviours
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
- Are calm, patient and resilient
- Have experience, or a strong interest, in SEMH or challenging behaviour
- Are passionate about making a difference
- Can commit long term, Monday to Friday
Experience in education, care, youth work or similar settings is ideal, but the right attitude is key.
