Behaviour Mentor Required for a SEN School in Croydon About the role:

This Behaviour Mentor role is based in a supportive and proactive SEN school in Croydon. The school caters for students aged between 7 - 14 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties associated with challenging behaviour including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties, ADHD and Severe Social Anxieties.

Your Role:

• Supporting positive behaviour by using strategies and techniques to de-escalate challenging behaviours
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
• You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities

The ideal candidate:

• Able to manage challenging situations, being resilient and positive outlook.
• You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same in a Special School, so being prepared is vital.
• Outgoing and mentoring manner
• Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
