Are you confident managing challenging behaviour and passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? This is an excellent opportunity for Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers, or experienced SEN TAs to join a forward thinking inclusion team and make a lasting impact.
Responsibilities- Provide targeted 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
- Implement behaviour support plans and de escalation techniques (Team Teach or equivalent).
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to promote emotional regulation and learning engagement.
- Act as a positive role model, building trust and resilience in students.
- Support reintegration and transition programmes for pupils returning to mainstream education.
- Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, or SEMH Teaching Assistant.
- Confidence in handling challenging situations calmly and positively.
- Understanding of safeguarding, trauma informed practice, or restorative approaches.
- Available full time and committed to consistency for the term.
- Supportive, specialist team with ongoing CPD (Team Teach, MAPA, SEMH strategies).
- Excellent experience for those pursuing pastoral, SEN, or teaching careers.
- Long term placement with strong potential for permanent appointment.
