As a Youth Mentor in St Helens, youll play a key role in guiding and inspiring students who need additional support in navigating both their academic and personal development. Whether its through one to one mentoring, leading group activities, or supporting students in achieving their goals, you will help foster confidence, resilience, and selfThis is a part-time role (up to 20 hours per week), paid at up to £30 per hour. Sessions take place during school hours, between 9am and 3pm, giving you flexibility while still fitting around the school day.What Were Looking For:Experience in a mentoring, youth work, or pastoral role, ideally within an education or social care settingPassion for working with young people facing emotional or social challengesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate young peopleEmpathy, patience, and a solutions first approach to supporting students personal growthA creative, energetic approach to engaging students and helping them find joy in learning and personal developmentAn interest or background in mental health, social work, or youth services would be an advantageTuition experience for at least 1 yearTo Be Eligible You Must:Hold Right to Work in the UKHave an Enhanced DBS certificate (child barred list) or be willing to apply for a new oneProvide two professional references from child related rolesBe passionate about youth empowerment and creating a safe, inclusive environment for young peopleProspero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
