Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a specialist provision located in Longfield, Kent. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your impact will be felt every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in managing their behaviour and developing positive coping strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies to implement behaviour support plans.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help them engage with learning and school life.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or care setting.
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
