Befriender Volunteer - Female Only

We are looking for a Befriender Volunteer to provide meaningful companionship at our supported living service in Audenshaw. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person centred care.

We're seeking someone who is warm, sociable, and a great listener. As a Befriender, you'll spend time with one of the people we support, offering friendly conversation and companionship through regular meet ups. If you can spare a couple of hours and are able to volunteer on a regular basis, we'd love to hear from you.

Activities may include arts and crafts, painting nails, or simply enjoying quality time together.

This role is for a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities.

• Build trusting relationships whilst respecting boundaries
• Support social inclusion
• Facilitate meaningful conversations
• Encourage independence
• Promote a positive and supportive environment
• Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members
• Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries
• Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided
