Volunteer with Ladybirds (Ages 5-7): Build Confidence, and Make a Real Difference! Are you looking for a fun, meaningful way to get involved in your local community? Join one of our Ladybird Guide Units and help create magical, memory making experiences for girls aged 5-7! As a volunteer, you'll help organise and run weekly meetings filled with creativity, curiosity, and adventure. From interest badges and arts & crafts to games, outdoor fun, and exciting outings, no two weeks are ever the same! No experience needed - just enthusiasm. Full training provided - we'll support you every step of the way. What Ladybirds Are All About: Ladybirds follow a three year programme designed to be progressive, so that each girl learns about herself and the world around her. Ladybirds are superheroes, gaining powers as they collect their annual Discover, Grow and Fly Journey badges, which are used to develop their rainbow coloured superhero capes. Games, activities and badges aim to develop positive self image, build confidence, introduce Guiding values, and teach girls how to play and work well with others. Each Ladybird will have the opportunity to earn several Interest Badges during her time in Ladybirds. These badges show that a girl has developed a skill, knowledge and/or interest in a particular area.
