Job Description

Our leading international law firm client is seeking a Business Development Manager to support its litigation and investigations practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic and commercially minded professional to work closely with senior stakeholders and drive new business growth across key practice areas.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and executing business development and marketing initiatives, working in partnership with senior lawyers and leadership teams to identify opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and increase market visibility.

Key responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing business development plans aligned with firmwide strategy
  • Collaborating with partners and practice leaders to identify target clients and growth opportunities
  • Drafting high-quality proposals and pitch materials to win new business
  • Managing and monitoring marketing and business development budgets
  • Using market research and data insights to support client engagement and strategic decision-making
  • Supporting client relationship programmes and contributing to cross selling initiatives
  • Identifying and coordinating participation in events, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities
  • Delivering business development training and support to lawyers
  • Creating and overseeing marketing content, communications, and directory submissions
  • Managing client communications and supporting targeted marketing campaigns
  • Collaborating with events teams to deliver successful client events
About You

You will be a proactive and organised business development professional with strong communication skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
  • Experience in business development or marketing within a professional services environment
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling client facing materials
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Experience using CRM systems, marketing technology, and data tools
  • A degree level education or equivalent experience
