Base Operatives - Safe Lifting & Cargo Handling

Location: Peterhead with occasional travel to Aberdeen

Duration: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for Base Operatives to support safe lifting and cargo handling operations.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced operational environment where safety, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with crane lifts and safely control suspended loads
• Use slings, tag lines, and lifting equipment in line with procedures
• Maintain a safe working area and control access around lifting operations
• Support container loading and unloading activities
• Carry out basic equipment checks and report any defects
• Participate in toolbox talks and support team coordination
• Assist with general site duties as required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good understanding of site safety procedures (LOLER / PUWER / HASAWA)
• Manual Handling and Dangerous Goods Awareness

This role requires a proactive and safety-focused individual who can work effectively as part of a team while maintaining high operational standards.
