Bartender 
Location: Battersea Power Station
Hours: Full time
Salary: starting rate is between £13.50 and £14.00 per hour.
Reporting to: All restaurant and bar management.
Job SummaryIn this role, you will be responsible for creating and serving a variety of drinks and cocktails, ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities- Greeting guests, taking drink orders, and making recommendations.
- Preparing and mixing a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Operating the point-of-sale system, processing payments, and handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Stocking supplies, such as glassware, alcohol, and mixers.
- Occasionally checking IDs to ensure that guests are of legal drinking age.
- Assisting with other duties as required, including serving food, setting up for events, and cleaning.
- Possess excellent Food knowledge on Park Chinois food menu.
- Attend the briefings, meetings, and training sessions
- Be fully knowledgeable of Duck and Rice offers, products and events
- Learn specials and limited availability items
- Ensure bar stations are set up correctly for the service
- Check all the menus and replace if required (covers and inserts)
- Prepare all the rubbish bins for the service
- Be fully prepared for the guests you are expecting, including any special requests
- Perform daily cleaning duties as assigned
- Provide a welcoming, professional, and personalised service at all times
- Acknowledge regular guests
- Always follow full sequence of service
- Present the menus according to standard operating standards
- Take orders and enter the EPOS system, ensuring a well-balanced order
- Explain/describe all dishes to the guest when are served on the table
- Pass all guest's messages or requests to Manager
- Give constant feedback to Managers about guests, food presentation and quality, wait times on food and beverages
- Observe the bar/floor and anticipate guests' requirements and communicate to the Manager if any assistance is required.
- Be in control of the bar
- Support and guide the barback team
- Assist the Managers to rectify any issues or complaints.
- Present bills to guests and take payment according to company guidelines
- Bid farewell to guests
- Ensure a smooth handover at the end of the shift
- Ensure a correct cleaning in all bar area has been delivered
- Complete all assigned closing duties
- Bartending experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of a variety of cocktails and mixing techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on hospitality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a physically demanding role.
