The Flour Pot Bakery is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista/Front of House team member to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, and ensuring our store is a welcoming and vibrant space for customers. At Fiveways we offer both a counter and dine in service. Alongside our counter favourites, we also have a delicious brunch and lunch menu available from the kitchen. During the weekend, this is very popular and therefore requires fast paced and friendly service to the local community who regularly frequent.

Opening hours

Monday - Friday - 7:30am - 4:30pm

Saturday - 8am - 5pm

Sunday - 8am - 4pm

6:30am - 3pm

8am - 4pm

9am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customers feel welcome and valued - both counter and dine in service.

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including expertly crafted coffee-based drinks.

Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision.

Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations on our baked goods.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas, including counters, tables, and equipment.

Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Assist with stock management, including restocking display cases and ensuring freshness of products.

Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential-training will be provided.

Table service experience preferable.

Passion for coffee, baked goods, and excellent customer service.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
