Salary: Up to £27,872.
OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our Retail & Hospitality team at Luma Caffe within Cromwell Hospital. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve high quality coffee, beverages, and light food items to brand standards.
- Deliver a friendly, professional, and personalised customer experience.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Take ownership of customer requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong product knowledge and recommend food and beverage options.
- Support promotional activities and upselling opportunities.
- Operate coffee machines and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards across front and back of house areas.
- Monitor and replenish stock to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Follow all food safety, allergen, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support efficient and effective service delivery.
- Previous barista experience or coffee training (essential).
- Experience delivering exceptional customer service within a busy environment (essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced setting (essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation standards (essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (essential).
- Flexible approach to working shifts, weekends and holidays (essential).
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment (desirable).
- Food Safety Level 2 qualification or willingness to obtain (desirable).
- Experience working in a premium hospitality or healthcare environment (desirable).
