Bar Person

We are presently recruiting for an experienced Bar Person. We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join a busy traditional bar in Killarney. This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a lively environment, interacting with tourists and locals alike, and delivering excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position offering a 5/7 working week with 35 hours per week. Flexibility regarding working hours is essential, with one weekend night guaranteed off each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Taking and serving drink orders promptly and accurately.
• Mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Providing recommendations on drink selections and local attractions where appropriate.
• Ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations and policies.
• Handling cash transactions and operating a point-of-sale system.
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of the bar area and equipment.
• Engaging with customers to enhance their experience and address any concerns.
• Working closely with the team to maintain a welcoming and efficient service environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a customer-first attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of beverage preparation and bar equipment is advantageous.

The Hourly Rate is €16.00 - €18.00 Per Hour dependent on experience.
