A leading national law firm is expanding its Banking Litigation team and is looking for a Solicitor to join the Newcastle office.

If you're experienced in this space - or have related dispute experience and want to specialise - this could be your next move.

The Role

This is not standard debt recovery work.

You'll manage a complex caseload of banking disputes, representing regulated financial institutions in matters that fall outside of routine processes - often involving actual defences, mis-selling, or bespoke challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of complex banking litigation matters
  
  
• Represent major banking clients in financial disputes
  
  
• Provide strategic, commercially minded legal advice
  
  
• Liaise with regulators (FCA/SRA) and comply with regulatory frameworks
  
  
• Collaborate with a full legal team - from paralegals to partners
  
  

Who Should Apply?

Ideally: You have direct experience in banking litigation
Also considered: Solicitors with experience in:

• Debt recovery
  
  
• Dispute resolution
  
  
• Financial mis-selling claims
  
  

You're confident handling files independently, familiar with regulated environments, and looking for a role where you can take full ownership of your work.
