I'm looking for Bank Support Workers to join my team in Melksham, Wiltshire!
What I'm Looking ForYou'll support me with all aspects of my personal care, daily routines, and making sure I can enjoy all my favourite activities-both at home and out in the community. You'll also help me learn new things and become more independent, which is very important to me.
You'll need to be confident using your own initiative, but you'll receive extensive support from my parents, my Case Manager, and my therapists. You'll also get training to follow my therapy programmes.

Melksham, Wiltshire
Typical Bank Shifts- Weekdays : 4pm-9pm or 4pm-10pm
- Additional evening shifts may be required (to be agreed in advance)
- Waking Nights (Mon-Fri) : £17.00/hour
- Driver essential - you'll need your own car to get to work
- You may drive Harvey's automatic car, or use your own vehicle (business mileage paid if it fits his wheelchair/walker and has business insurance)
- Essential : Knowledge of traumatic brain injury and severe disabilities (or willingness to learn)
- Desirable : Experience working with children with special needs and an interest in therapy programmes
- Must be comfortable around pets (Harvey has one dog)
- Rolling interviews - apply early to be considered

About You- Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Handling Management Plan is available and is designed to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
- Experience with working with cerebral palsy and severe learning difficulties
- Confident and comfortable working in Harvey's own home and sensitive to the needs and wishes of him and his family
- Can demonstrate commitment and passion for meeting Harvey's needs
- Can demonstrate empathy and understanding in an appropriate and professional manner
- A team player who understands the importance of feedback to qualified members of the team
- Can develop productive and professional relationships with others
- Actively creates an inclusive environment respecting diversity
- Good organisational skills who can adhere to standards and quality requirements
- Friendly, approachable with a proactive and encouraging approach
- Water confident to assist with hydrotherapy/swimming
- Punctual, reliable, patient, reliable and trustworthy
- Can maintain an excellent level of confidentiality
- Good verbal & written communication skills and IT literate
- Able to think creatively and to use initiative
- Willingness to work flexibly and cover shifts, sometimes at short notice
- A full driving licence (endorsements to be disclosed)
- Comfortable to be around animals (our client has one dog and enjoys horse riding)
ILS Case Management is the UK's leading independent nationwide Case Management company.

We assess individual needs and are able to provide a comprehensive Case Management and Rehabilitation Service designed to maximise independence. Our Case Managers work closely with our Clients, and we carry out all the recruitment processes on behalf of our Clients; and will support you, from your initial telephone interview right through to arranging employer interviews, trial shifts and placement.
If you are successfully recruited, you will be employed directly by our client. However, ILS will manage your day to day employment, providing you with the support you need to carry out your role. Working as a Carer or Support Worker for an ILS client means that you will have a dedicated Case Manager to oversee your client's care needs.
