Description

Bowden Lodge is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join the team. This is a bank role.

Bowden Lodge is located in Darnall, in Sheffield. The home provides residential support for 16 males and females with mental health needs.

Our team are dedicated to supporting the people we care for to take control and have belief in their potential. We want to help people who are moving into our home from hospital to gain independence and stability so they can move back into less supported accommodation.

We can also support those who have:

  • A mild learning disability
  • Mild to moderate behaviour that may challenge
  • A forensic background
  • Low-level mobility needs
  • Epilepsy
What you'll be doing

You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
  • Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
  • Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
  • Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
  • Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them to set goals and track progress.
  • Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
