What will you be doing day to day?

We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible BANK Early Years Educatorto join our supportive team. As a bank member of staff, you will provide cover for staff absences and busy periods across our nursery rooms. You'll play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of care and education for children aged 0-5 years.

Nursery: Lara Nursery, Thirsk

Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Job Type:BANK / Flexible

Hours of work: up to 38 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities to foster learning and creativity.
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
  • Observe and assess children's behaviour, progress, and development to identify individual needs and plan interventions.
  • Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support children's holistic development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's development and learning.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or above in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses as per local regulations (e.g., CPR, first aid).
  • Knowledge of child development theories and early childhood education practices.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Creativity and adaptability in designing age-appropriate activities.
  • Observation and assessment skills to track children's progress.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
