Job Description

We are advertising for several Bank Facilities vacancies. As a member of the bank you get to choose which shifts and in what localities across our Leicestershire sites you apply for when shifts are released weekly. As a Bank Facilities Assistant you will provide cover for our sites and deliver effective, patient focused Facilities Service (FM) by carrying out cleaning, portering and catering duties. The Bank refers to our temporary staffing solution that covers annual leave and sickness across our sites. Applicants must bring photo ID and proof of address. We welcome applications early to avoid a shortened closing date. We pride ourselves on high standards throughout our services and will respect you as a valued member of the Soft FM Team. All roles involve duties across Trust sites and support services to ensure a safe, efficient, effective service to all patients, staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job

Facilities Assistant Duties

  • Prepare and regenerate patient meals at ward level daily.
  • Deliver patient focused cleaning and domestic service to meet NHS cleanliness standards in designated patient/non patient areas.
  • Provide appropriate portering services including transportation of linen cages, waste bins/carts and patient moves between reception and departments.
  • Rotate between responsibilities as required.
