Based in Oswestry, the role is full time permanent. You will work 12.5 hour shifts both day and night, with a competitive salary of £38,383 - £46,221 per annum (depending on experience) and unsociable & weekend enhancements.
Key responsibilities- Provide specialist paediatric palliative and end of life care to children and young people.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, high quality care.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and support families through the care journey.
- Participate in training and continuous professional development.
- Provide emotional and practical support to families during crises.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the needs of children and young people with life limiting conditions and children's palliative care.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Sets high standards of care and serves as a positive role model.

- NMC registered Nurse with children's experience.
- Recognised children's nursing qualification.
- Palliative Care experience.
- Excellent communication.
- Organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Teamworking and leadership capabilities.
- In depth understanding of children's palliative care.
- Knowledge of the health, community and social care sectors.
- Familiarity with consent, GDPR, confidentiality management, Caldicott Principles and Duty of Candour.
- Working knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
- Leadership and supervising skills-providing direction, setting standards, delegating, motivating, coaching and recruiting.
- Ability to deliver results and meet expectations of children and families.
- Adaptability to change, handling ambiguity and respecting cultural and religious differences.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required and will be paid for by Hope House.
