Job Title : Nuclear Medicine Technologist Banding: Band 8a Locat io n: Walsall , West Midlands Start date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Rate : £ 35 - £ 36 per hour Working hours: Mondays to Fridays 09:00am-17:00pm (can accept part-time)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a highly skilled Band 8a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a forward-thinking imaging department in Walsall. This role is focused on SPECT-CT imaging, with cardiac scanning being an essential component. The position offers flexibility for full-time or part-time hours and is ideal for a professional seeking to contribute to a high-quality diagnostic service within a supportive clinical environment.

What will your responsibilities be :

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing SPECT-CT procedures with a strong emphasis on cardiac imaging. Duties include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring accurate data acquisition, and maintaining detailed patient records. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support diagnosis and treatment planning is a key part of the role. Ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards is essential.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • BSc in Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent qualification
  • HCPC registration
  • Significant experience in SPECT-CT imaging
  • Proven competence in cardiac nuclear medicine scans
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and quality assurance protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care and clinical accuracy
