Band 8a Estates Manager (Operations)

In this senior role, you will support the Head of Estates throughout the whole range of Estate functions with specific responsibility for day-to-day Estates operations, statutory compliance, capital maintenance, management software, PPMs, in-house team and contractors, and buildings and engineering services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide the Head of Estates with professional & technical engineering advice and information as required. In conjunction with the Estates Manager (Compliance), deputise for the Head of Estates in all professional matters.

Education and Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Building Related subjects, or related experience
• Corporate Member of a recognised professional organisation, Chartered Engineer (C Eng)
• MBA in Business Management

Experience

• Significant experience at a senior level in building services management
• Experience managing a high-quality, responsive, and cost-effective estates service with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Involvement in facilities processes

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of building services maintenance
• Financial analysis and management skills
• Effective decision-making skills
• Knowledge of the NHS, its structures, and objectives, and their application within the Trust

Salary: £61,927 to £68,676 per year, inclusive of HCAS.
