Main duties of the jobProvide a dietetic service and give nutritionaladvice to adult and paediatric patients, with a range of conditions, in theprimary care setting. This includes the assessment and treatment of patientsand working as an integral member of the MDT to provide a flexible, prioritisedservice based on clinical need.
Be an integral member of the team sharing thecaseload for home enterally fed patients both in the clinic setting andconducting home visits for patients in their own homes/nursing homes.
Set up and lead specific patient caseload groupsto facilitate and educate in key aspects of clinical nutrition as required.
Design individual client-centred treatmentplans. This will involve nutritional assessment and calculation of nutritionalrequirements based on the interpretation of biochemistry, anthropometry,clinical condition and diet history.
Negotiate on-going dietary adjustments withpatients based upon the patients agenda, biochemistry, metabolic status,clinical condition and priorities.

Person Specification Experience- Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential.
- HCPC registered.
- BSc (Hons) Nutrition / Dietetics degree or post graduate diploma or equivalent.
