Role Overview: Join our dedicated team at Healsgood as a Band 5 Mammographer. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality mammographic services to our patients. You will work within a supportive and dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and contributing to the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality mammographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.

Ensure the accurate positioning of patients to obtain optimal imaging results.

Operate mammographic equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.

Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Adhere to all radiation protection standards and maintain a safe working environment.

Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.

Contribute to the smooth operation of the mammography department, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Registered Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.

Completion of NHS mandatory training.

Proven experience in mammographic imaging (desirable but not essential for entry-level positions).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
Compliance Requirements:

Up-to-date HCPC registration.

Enhanced DBS check.

Completion of relevant NHS mandatory training modules.

Adherence to all local and national guidelines and regulations pertaining to radiography and patient care.
