Band 3 - Central Registration & Booking Clerk

Job Description:

MPA Recruitment are partnering with the local Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 3 Registration & Booking Clerk for the Portadown/Lurgan area.

This position is initially based at Magowan Buildings, Portadown, with relocation to Lurgan planned from June 2026. The role is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week on the following rota:

Weeks 1-4: Monday to Friday

• 4 days: 8:00am - 4:00pm
• 1 day: 10:00am - 6:00pm

Week 5: Monday to Saturday

• 3 days: 8:00am - 4:00pm
• 1 day: 10:00am - 6:00pm
• 1 day: 8:00am - 11:30am
• Saturday: 9:00am - 1:00pm

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as part of a busy team and play an important role in the ongoing modernisation and development of GP and other referral pathways within the Trust. Duties will involve regular interaction with patients, GPs, and Trust colleagues through both telephone and written communication.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach in supporting the development of the new AHP Central Registration & Booking Centre and electronic referral booking systems. Adherence to all Trust policies and procedures is essential.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C, including English Language, plus at least 1 year's experience in a clerical or administrative role
• OR
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a clerical or administrative role In addition:
• Experience using Microsoft Word or equivalent software
