Job Description

In this vital NHS role, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality blood collection service across various hospital settings, including wards and outpatient departments. Your expertise will directly support patient care by ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection.

Key responsibilities include performing venepuncture and capillary blood sampling strictly in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. You will also be meticulous in ensuring correct patient identification and accurate labelling of all collected specimens, maintaining the integrity of diagnostic processes. Requirements

• Proven experience as a Phlebotomist in a clinical setting, preferably within the NHS.
• Demonstrated ability to perform venepuncture and capillary blood sampling safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail for accurate patient identification and specimen labelling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
